IR Transformation Story – Susanna Seto

I can’t think of a more fitting description for Innovative Results thanFitness Playground.” I don’t think of IR as a gym; it’s a place to work hard, learn, grow, and most importantly, have fun while doing it! I look forward to coming here every week because the gym, staff, and community have become such an integral part of my life. Prior to joining the IR family, I had a hard time getting into a good rhythm with my exercise routines. I was super active as a kid, and lived and breathed basketball all through high school. Having that structure and team environment really helped keep me active and guided me on a ‘healthy lifestyle’ path all those years. Once I was removed from that, I really struggled to find something similar to keep me active and offset the busy sedentary work lifestyle. Not only was I not feeling physically at my best anymore, but I felt the effects in all other aspects of my life and mindset.

That all turned around once I was introduced to Innovative Results. It’s not your traditional gym; the workouts are unique and the coaches can easily modify a workout for specific individuals. I quickly learned that it’s not about quick fix results, but more so about setting a good foundation to continue to build on. The IR staff is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and motivating. I can tell that they are invested in me, which builds trust in my relationship with them. They have been able to teach me things beyond “just working out,” and opened my mind to all the other factors that willget me the results I’m looking for, such as establishing good habits, thinking about nutrition, and understanding what exactly we’re doing and WHY.

Coming to IR reminds me of what it’s like to be an active kid again. The community and coaches provide the structure and environment that I used to have when I was on a sports team. While the workouts are tough and engaging, I always seem to be laughing and smiling (maybe too much), but it shows that I’m having fun doing it- which I see nothing wrong with 🙂
